Through Council Consulting, the Transformational Travel Council works beyond experience design. We help organizations align purpose with offering, design for transformation rather than engagement, build systems that sustain impact over time, and create offerings that are both meaningful and commercially successful.

Design Experiences That Transform and Endure

Private Consulting

Our Transformative Approach

Transformation is not a feature you add to an experience. It is a process that must be designed, embodied, and sustained. Our consulting work is built around three dimensions:

Embodiment

Alignment between intention and delivery. Authentic presence. Organizational coherence. Before your guests can experience transformation, your team must embody the values you are designing for. We work from the inside out.

Performance

Market relevance. Operational excellence. Scalability. Transformative design is not a luxury offering. It is a competitive advantage that drives differentiation, pricing power, and long-term resilience. We ensure your transformative work also performs commercially.

Outcomes

Guest transformation. Business performance. Regenerative impact. We measure across all three dimensions, ensuring that what you build serves the people who experience it, the business that delivers it, and the communities and places that sustain it.

Measuring Transformation and Performance

MEASURING WHAT MATTERS

Engagement depth, behavior change, integration, repeat participation, and advocacy. Are your guests different when they leave than when they arrived? Do they come back? Do they tell others?

Guest Transformation

Community engagement, stakeholder alignment, environmental contribution, and the health of the places where you operate. Is your work making the places and communities you touch stronger?

Business Performance

Revenue, conversion, lifetime value, retention, and referral rates. Does your transformative approach translate into measurable commercial results?

Regenerative Impact

The Business Case

Properties and organizations applying transformative experience design principles consistently outperform conventional approaches across every metric that matters. These are not aspirational projections. They are observed results from TTC consulting engagements and field research across destinations, hospitality properties, tour operators, and conservation organizations worldwide.

Experience Revenue

The shift from staging experiences to designing for transformation creates measurable value at every level: deeper guest loyalty, stronger pricing power, lower acquisition costs through organic referral, and teams that stay because the work means something. The organizations that invest in this approach are not adding a feature. They are building a structural competitive advantage.

Compared to industry standards of 10-25% return rates and 50-60% staff retention.

HOW TO WORK WITH US

Engagement Pathways

Every organization is different. The pressures, the market position, the team culture, the readiness to change. Our engagements are designed around your context, not a fixed template. Some organizations need a focused diagnostic. Others need a full systems-level redesign. The structure adapts, but the depth does not.

The arc of our consulting work follows a natural progression:

Diagnosis

We begin with deep assessment of your current offerings, team culture, and market position through the lenses of guest transformation, business performance, and regenerative impact. This phase produces a clear-eyed view of where you are and a roadmap for where the work should go.

Design

We co-create the strategy, frameworks, experiences, and internal tools that move your organization from where it is to where it wants to be. This is hands-on work: your team builds capability alongside us, not in spite of us.

Integration

Strategy without implementation is a document on a shelf. We guide the embodiment of transformative principles into daily operations, team culture, and guest experience. This is where the work moves from plan to practice.

Advisory

For organizations that want sustained strategic partnership rather than project-based engagement. Ongoing access to Council-level thinking for positioning, growth, experience portfolio development, and key decision-making over time.

GREAT PLACE TO START

2-Hour Experience Design Micro-Workshop

$1,500

Not every organization needs a full consulting engagement. Sometimes what you need is two hours with someone who has done this work across destinations, properties, tour operators, and conservation organizations worldwide, and who will be direct with you about what they see.

The Micro-Workshop is a guided, high-touch session combining strategic insight, coaching, and real-time feedback on your specific challenge. It is not a sales funnel for deeper consulting. It is a standalone product designed to give you clarity and concrete next steps you can act on immediately.

Before the session: You complete a pre-session diagnostic questionnaire that helps us understand your organization, your offerings, and the specific challenge or opportunity you want to focus on. We review this before we meet so the session starts at depth.

During the session: Two hours of focused, facilitated work. We examine your challenge through the lenses of embodiment, performance, and outcomes. We share direct, honest perspective on what we see. We work through the strategic questions together in real time. This is not a presentation. It is a working session.

After the session: You receive a written post-session summary with prioritized action steps, key insights, and recommended next moves. This document is yours to implement independently.

Best For: Founders, general managers, experience directors, and organizational leaders who want focused outside perspective on a specific challenge. Common topics include guest experience redesign, team culture alignment, offering differentiation, pricing strategy, and market positioning for the transformation economy.

Our Work In The Field

The Nature Conservancy

The Space & The Journey | Institutional Consulting | Regenerative Experiential Hospitality

The Nature Conservancy stewards over 100 million acres across the globe, landscapes that rival the most celebrated national parks. Yet most Americans have never set foot on a TNC preserve. TTC was engaged to design the programming framework for how TNC opens these extraordinary places to visitors, not as a compromise of conservation values, but as an expression of them.

We developed the complete Regenerative Experiential Hospitality guidelines: a framework for reading the land first, activating with intention, programming for transformation, and measuring what matters. Every guest encounter is designed to strengthen rather than diminish the land, and visitors leave as advocates for conservation.

El Salvador: International Trade Centre Partnership

International Scale | 30 Businesses

TTC partnered with the International Trade Centre to deliver experience development training for 30 top-performing tourism businesses across El Salvador, including tour operators, hotels, coffee farms, and restaurants. The program helped businesses design elevated, regenerative experiences for the European market while building local capacity for ongoing experience innovation.

Wild Women Expeditions

The Journey | Tour Operator Consulting | Program Audit & Experience Design

Wild Women Expeditions, a purpose-driven adventure tour operator, needed to evolve their program mix for both profitability and transformative impact. TTC delivered a three-part engagement: a comprehensive program audit with competitive analysis, a half-day strategic workshop to prioritize offerings, and a half-day transformative experience design training.

The result: a fully vetted direction for future programming, an elevated experience strategy, and a team equipped with the frameworks to design trips for the transformation economy traveler.

Medinah, Saudi Arabia: Resort Experience Theming

The Space | Hospitality | Experience Theming & Cultural Design

TTC was engaged to design the transformative experience theming and guest journey framework for a resort property in Medinah, Saudi Arabia. The work integrated cultural sensitivity, faith-aligned challenge and gift design, and regenerative hospitality principles into a complete guest experience architecture. The project required deep understanding of how transformative design principles translate across cultural contexts, ensuring that the guest journey honored local values, spiritual traditions, and the specific character of place.
