TTC was founded by a collection of individuals who share a belief that designing travel experiences with more intentionality, mindfulness, and creativity will present travelers with increased opportunities to explore the world, transform their lives (and their communities), and foster global communication, understanding, and collaboration.  

Michael Bennett, Ed.D. | Co-Founder Muddy Shoe Adventures

Michael is a world traveler, coach, educator, recovering organizational consultant, and accidental entrepreneur who founded Muddy Shoe Adventures to help others use travel experiences to bring more purpose, passion, and meaning to their lives. His doctoral dissertation explored transformational learning through adventure travel experiences.

Don Mankin, Ph.D. | Co-Founder Adventure Transformations

Don is an intrepid explorer and author of the critically acclaimed book Riding the Hulahula to the Arctic Ocean. Don’s award-winning travel writing, appearing regularly in the Huffington Post and his Adventure Geezer blog, explores his travels to the far corners of the earth. Don earned a Ph.D. in Psychology from Johns Hopkins University.

Kurt Kutay | Co-Founder

Founder, President & CEO of Wildland Adventures, Kurt is a recognized travel industry pioneer. He has served on many professional boards and conservation organizations including The International Ecotourism Society and the ATTA. Kurt wrote a chapter on adventure travel for Fodor's guide books and has written numerous articles on ecotourism.

Katherine Droga | Special Advisor
Tourism Australia

With a strong background in media and destination marketing, Katherine joined Tourism Australia (TA) in 2005 to manage its domestic marketing before heading to Germany in 2008 as TA's Regional GM for Continental Europe.  She recently returned to Australia, where she is now the General Manager of Global Partnership Development.

Born and raised in the Midwest, Sean's worldview blew up on a cross country road trip that ignited a passion in him to explore the world, as well as a commitment to protect it. Now, Sean is the Environmental Coordinator for the Olympic Peninsula, responsible for minimizing travelers' and operational impacts on the National Park.
